Description:  

This game was made for a course DATT 2300.

Welcome to Santa Runner, a 2D endless runner game that blends a Christmas-themed experience with the challenge of achieving a high score. In this game, you control a Santa-like character running through a winter wonderland, dodging obstacles to keep going. As your score increases, the game speeds up, intensifying the challenge and immersing you in the festive atmosphere.

How To Play:

The game is very simple, all you need to do is play with the "Space" bar in order to jump. Keep in mind that you can double jump by clicking the bar twice. Apart from that the game runs on its own and your goal is to jump when appropriate to avoid the obstacles in the way. Also mind you, you can play the game within the browser. 

Techinal Aspect 

This game technical aspect can be noted as the following, it is made in unity and is a simple 2D game. There are multiple scripts that allow for the game to run and for the logic to be there when playing. There are also many other attributes to the game like a particle system like snow style, a scoring system, projectile blockers, animation, player mechanics and sound. All in which where made individual by myself. 

Tips & Tricks:

Some tips for players are, you can glide a bit within the air as you double jump and from playing the game id say use that to your advantage to not make unnecessary jumps. Keeps in mind as you play the leaderboard score updates and will always remain on your local computer data so anytime you get a new highscore it lets your know and shows you.
